Networking

Networking a group of two or more computers is a great way to play many games in LAN mode, head to head in games such as the Quake series and American Army.  You can share your internet connection with other computers and can even share files and data, great for MP3 files.

Now that networking equipment is so inexpensive, home users can now benefit.

There are now two types of connections, wireless and cabled. Both types can also be used on one network combined.

Remember to encrypt your wireless connection using 128 bit WEP, otherwise anyone nearby can share your internet connection and slow down yours and possibly access computers on your network and use your internet connection to look at illegal sites leaving the blame on you.

If you want to share files and printers on a network you will have to configure your Domain or Workgroup.
